Katie Duck and Alfredo Genovesi improvisation Dec 27- 31
120 Euros
Since 1998 Katie Duck has been holding a workshop within the Christmas period for dancers and musicians who wish to work through the holidays. The workshop will centre on dance/music collaboration extending invites to both dance and music artists to study and experiment within lessons and improvisation sessions.
The objective in this workshop is to amplify how improvisation is not the antitheses of choreography or composition but rather a means by which choreography's and compositions are executed. Lecture material is based on the mental connection to this work and how it is reflective to advances in brain-studies and technology.
Katie has developed physical exercises that clarify how the eyes, ears and physical senses over-all work in co ordination with movement, sound and exposure to gathered crowds notating how these situations alter our perception of time, space, feelings and emotions. Improvisation sessions revolve around the terms pause, flow, exit, choice and presence with discussions articulating play, memory and intuition.

Vincent Cacialano and Alan McDermitt Feldencraise and Dance Jan 2-3
45 Euros
The class will be structured in three parts, The Feldenkrais Method, Contemporary Dance Technique and Improvisation sessions. The over-all aim is to develop awareness in basic human movement to improve skills, range and efficiency in dance. Using The Feldenkrais method to clarify fundamental patterns, we will develop our understanding of our own bodies, movement habits and choices. We will also become aware of the parts of our bodies and co-ordinations that we have yet to incorporate into our image of our selves and thus are less aware of or feel less comfort executing.
