In 2006, Magpie Music Dance Company evolved from a music/dance/light improvisation company to an umbrella organization. Magpie Music Dance Company (1995-2005) has inspired artists in the Netherlands and internationally to create music/dance/light improvisation events, festivals, one-off projects and on-going series. These various approaches inspired the Magpie Music Dance Company to become an umbrella organization so that they could support the individuals who wish to pursue such visions. Magpie Umbrella is represented by Stichting Magpie, a non-profit organization.
