Ilaria Honsinger

Ilaria Honsinger is a visual artist based in Amsterdam since 1991. She has lived in Italy and England, plays the violin, and has extensive experience in performance art, collaborating with her mother, Katie Duck, and her late father, Tristan Honsinger.

Her artistic practice primarily involves oil painting on canvas, focusing on the human body and faces. She also creates videos using digital editing tools and is developing her skills in website design.

In December 2024, Ilaria contributed film images to a performance titled “The Day After” at OT301 in Amsterdam. This event featured music by Mohammad Mahdi Behrad on the Ney, movement and film editing by Katie Duck, and film images by Ilaria.

Additionally, Ilaria has been involved in the Summer Course Amsterdam, a multidisciplinary platform, where she has contributed to various projects and performances.

Her father, Tristan Honsinger, was a renowned cellist and composer who passed away in August 2023. He is survived by Katie, Ilaria, and a granddaughter, Laura.
